FAQs
What models does Argos work with?
Argos tracks just about every printer (large and small format). However, for many models we offer special integration for even better tracking and data reliability.
For the list of models that support integration, head to the ‘Works With’ section of our website. There, we have an extensive list of supported models, features, and any compatibility requirements.
Integration is available for the following manufacturers:
Large format: Canon, HP, KIP, and Oce.
Small format: Canon, Epson, HP, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Ricoh, Sharp, Toshiba and Xerox.
Is it a cloud or on-premise solution?
Argos is an on-premise solution that can be hosted on local servers or in your company’s cloud environment (Azure, etc).
What are the system/server requirements?
This varies depending on the scope of your installation, but at a minimum, you’ll need a computer running on:
-
Windows 10 or higher / Windows Server 2016 or higher
-
8 GB of RAM
-
10 GB of hard drive space
Requirements can vary based on the number of users, servers, offices, integrated printers, billing codes, and the strength of network connection between offices.
We’ve outlined the system requirements and all their variables in our Knowledge Base. Just head to the ‘Installation Guide’ section and check out the System Requirements article.
How long does it take to get it set up?
For a simple, single-location office, Argos can often be set up in less than an hour. A more complex installation may not be completed in one sitting.
At a high level, we need to install the core Argos components – this takes a few minutes.
From there we need to import your project list – usually from your accounting package like Deltek, BST or Oracle.
Then we work with you to configure how you plan to bill for your company’s print expenses.
Finally, we determine the process for end of month billing with this newly collected print/copy data - from manual entry of Argos reports to the complete automation of data into your accounting package, Argos has several flexible billing options.
Do you sell direct or through resellers?
The short answer is yes, both.
Argos is sold both directly to the AEC industry (and many others like government, legal, and education) and through resellers typically bundled into printer contracts.
How is the product licensed?
How does pricing work?
Argos is licensed on a yearly subscription model. In some cases Argos is bundled into an equipment contract, but also can be sold as a standalone service, either directly from us, or through a reseller.
The main factors that will influence your Argos subscription price are the number of users needed, along with the number of printers you need to track.
We also offer multi-year discounts, so you can include the cost in your printer lease.
